A Senior Cooperative for Persons 55 and Older
Our exceptional Senior Cooperative provides carefree, independent living
The Community Development Corporation (CDC) of Bentonville, Bella Vista,in conjunction with the Robert Woods Foundation, initiated plans for The Plaza cooperative around 200?. John Foss, a current resident, was a member of the board and assisted in plans and sales.
The Plaza opened for occupancy in 2005 and this past year we were voted by the National Association of Senior Cooperatives as Outstanding Cooperative of the Year.
Our Independent Living Cooperative for Seniors 55 and over is governed entirely by a Board of Directors elected from among our own members and there are 59 resident share holders. We have been fortunate to secure the Management Team of CDC to partner with us the ongoing responsibility of management of this unique type of facility.
